Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates was founded in 1953 with a plan to serve local governments in the practice of governmental accounting, auditing, and consulting services. Today these services remain the backbone and dominant function of our company. Specializing in governmental auditing, our staff maintains the highest level of up-to-date knowledge and expertise in the latest laws and regulations.

Complementing our service to local governments, Robinson, Farmer, Cox Associates also provides audit and accounting services to nonprofit entities, small and medium sized private businesses and to larger publicly owned corporations.

Members of the Firm actively participate in and staff activities of the Virginia Association of Counties (VACO), Local Government Officials Conference (LGOC), National and Virginia chapter programs of the Governmental Finance Officers Association (GFOA), the Virginia Society of Certified Public Accountants (VSCPA), the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and Auditor of Public Accounts (APA) of the Commonwealth of Virginia.
